Servers

Here are some servers that our players will be playing-

• *www.womjr.com*- This is where almost all of Qwertycraft's regular players are going, this is also where you'll usually find qwerty. Most of Qwertycraft's inspiration originates from WoM
• *74.199.17.135*- This is Tyler7618's server it will have the same map and everything as Qwertycraft.
• 198.15.69.34:25768- This is Lukerocks01's server, you'll find some familiar faces there

CLOSING

Unfortunately Qwertycraft is closing. I (qwertyuiop95) got very busy in real life with sports, homework, student government, school and other leadership positions which lead to lack of time and interest. The server has had a lot of problems anyways and I just don't want to worry about it, also we didn't get enough donations so I felt like it wouldn't last much longer anyways. Please feel free to share the IP's of other servers to the players so you can still build together in the future. Please email qwertycraft741@gmail.com and we can post your IP's on this blog.

Sorry

Sorry that the server is down, it stopped working and I had to leave so I couldn't start troubleshooting the problem, as soon as I get home I'll get to work though.

Stuff

The bukkit build is having issues with the config and the server will not start. It will be back as soon as I can get it though!

In other words- PVP and CMP servers are now open!! type /spawn to get to the lobby!

Land

A note on claiming land. Although griefing is not allowed on the server and staff can do rollbacks the easies solution to your problems is to claim your land. It saves you a lot of worry and staff a lot of time. As we bring new members into the community unfortunately some happen to be trolls or people who do not understand the rules yet, so for your convenience please claim your builds. If you have an issue where you have negative claim blocks please talk to a staff and they can help you. You can also /buyclaimblocks and you get a certain amount per hour you are online.

Tylermaz5455

Congratulations to Tylermaz5455 who has stepped up and is now Co-Owner of Qwertycraft with Qwertyuiop95. He has every command that Qwerty does and has the same amount of power. Over the next few weeks he will be learning how to manage the server and will hopefully be taking a large load off of Qwerty. He is very good at not arguing or showing his side in conflicts so he will be a good moderator for the server.

Issues (more)

Most server issues are from the dev bukkit build and the bugs it has. We shouldn't have updated to 1.6. Right now the server is down cause a hosting node is down so the server is pretty much falling to pieces :/

Server is back, for now

Server is not back anymore

I was trying to load the backup of the mcmmo and I reloaded the server and it had issues. So I turned off the server and it is telling me the same thing it told  me yesterday. When I talked to a support staff they said it was because of the unstable bukkit build. I'll try throughout the day to get it back on and get everyone's stuff back they lost.

The server

Unfortunately I can not update you on the status of the server since there is no updates. It still won't let me turn it on. I have submitted a support ticket with the hosting company but I am guessing that due to the holiday they are taking a day off, I'll see what I can do tomorrow.

1.6

Today we are updating to 1.6. This bukkit build is insecure and may have issues. We at Qwertycraft reserve the right to return to the more stable 1.5.2 build at any time we deem necessary. But for now we will be running 1.6

Concerning update 1.6

As we all know update 1.6 "The Horse Update" came out today. Our server will still run 1.5.2 until bukkit releases its update. Since you have to install a new launcher it should be easy to go back and forth between 1.5 and 1.6. As soon as bukkit and the plugins update I will post here to let everyone know. Thanks!

Re-Opening!

Yes the server is up and the whitelist is down. Please come back and get started! Same IP, just come and start playing! We've been working all day, so please don't criticize any imperfections. We are looking forward to seeing you!

The Vote

Recently you players have been voting on whether or not to do a server reset. It was suggested that instead of waiting for 1.6 and just wasting time for 4 days if the server is going to reset to do it sooner rather than later. Unless a bunch of players come and vote no before 1:30 MST (it's 12:00 now) then the server WILL reset TODAY. After the reset only staff will be allowed on until the spawn/server is set up and ready for players. The vote count was 23 for reset and 3 for no reset. We do realize that this may upset some players and they may leave. We are not asking anyone (staff and players alike) to stay. Do what you want, but we don't want to hear complaints. The server reset will fix lots of data issues and will give me a chance to install some plugins to prevent data issues in the future. Attached is a picture of the vote. We are looking forward to this reset and believe it will make this server even better!

Qwertycraft in review

Haven't posted much on the blog lately so this is kind of a post for the sake of posting.

It seems like the new ranking update is working because promotions have slowed down a lot. It is now more challenging and more fun. But congratulations to the people who have been ranked up recently. Especially congrats to Zytin who has been promoted to President! We currently have a lot of governors looking toward that promotion but no one is quite there yet. Also we now have a different way to apply for ranks. Take a book out of the chest in the rank room and fill it out as you go. Instead of signing it just keep it with you as sort of a rank-up journal andevery time  you're eligible just hand the book to a staff. It's a work in progress but I think it will be easier for staff this way. If you have any questions talk to loganmikel cause he came up with the system.

There's going to be a couple staff changes so look for another post detailing that soon.

If any of you haven't seen Zytin's town do so! /warp thekingdom is an awesome metro-like town that goes along the new rail system in progress.
